Alkoblock (anti-alcohol engine lock) is a breathalyzer that blocks engine starting, so only sober drivers can start the car engine. The breathalyzer consists of a breathalyzer connected to the control unit installed in the vehicle.
From 2020 January 1 2019 of the Government of the Republic of Lithuania entered into force November 27 by resolution no. 1185 approved "Description of the procedure for the enforcement of the ban on driving vehicles that are not equipped with anti-alcohol engine locks". For drivers who have been issued with an administrative measure - a ban on driving vehicles that are not equipped with anti-alcohol engine locks, we offer to purchase or rent Dräger Interlock 7000 alcoblocks configured according to the requirements of the description and complying with the Lithuanian standard LST EN 50436-1.
Alkoblok is easy to use, it does not interfere with the driver's normal work. Before starting the engine, the driver must check his level of sobriety with the built-in breathalyzer. If the amount of alcohol in the driver's breath exceeds the legal limit, the engine will not start when the ignition key is turned, thus preventing drunk driving. If no alcohol is detected, the engine starts normally and the drive starts when the ignition key is turned.
