BRAX GRAPHIC GL3

It all started with a vision of Heinz Fischer, a passionate music lover and Audiotec's founder, to transfer the sound experience of legendary high-end audio components into a car environment. No compromises in terms of design, technology and sound - following these principles our engineers focused on exceptional sound quality and expanded the technological limits once again when they designed the new BRAX GRAPHIC speaker series. Outstanding components and unparalleled craftsmanship make the difference – of course solely made in Germany!

A perfect team with maximum tonal harmony

The high-end midrange driver GL3 is the next member of the successful BRAX GRAPHIC speaker series and the ideal complement for exceptional three-way constellations in combination with the tweeter GL1 and the mid-woofer GL6. Its lively, dynamic sound characteristics and its particularly wide frequency range make the GL3 ideal for an extraordinary acoustical experience.

MicroSphere – the material for maximum acoustic precision

The centerpiece of this midrange is its particularly light paper cone with a modified "MicroShere" coating. Its extremely precise and detailed reproduction harmonizes perfectly with the other speakers in the GRAPHIC series. This patented technology embeds ceramic micro hollow spheres with a mere diameter of 75 µm in a polyamide layer that is applied to the cone.

State-of-the-art technology

The cone is driven by a particularly linear neodymium magnet system, which is integrated into the aerodynamically sophisticated die-cast aluminum basket. The perfect ventilation of the long-stroke voice coil not only ensures excellent thermal stability, but also prevents compression effects right from the start. The soft rubber surround ensures an extremely low resonance frequency and thus the possibility of a low crossover frequency, ideally in fully active systems.

Details well-thought-out to the end

The love for every single detail manifests the GL3 as a BRAX transducer at reference level, which meets the highest tonal demands of any music lover. Typically for BRAX, each pair of speakers is given its own serial number and recorded in a service database. This high-end product – Made in Germany – is made perfect by the packaging in an elegant wooden box, which once again underlines the uncompromising philosophy of the BRAX brand.

Features

  • Very stiff lightweight paper cone with unique "MicroSphere" coating consisting of micro ceramic hollow spheres embedded in a polymer layer
  • Low-reflection rubber surround for smooth high frequency roll-off
  • Aerodynamically shaped aluminum diecast basket with optimized voice coil ventilation
  • Coated dustcap for optimization of the frequency response in the upper midrange area
  • Ultra-precise machined, vented neodymium magnet system for highest magnetic flux linearity
