Born out of the increasingly demanding challenges of modern automobile technology and the HELIX-typical pursuit of intelligent solutions, we made the progressive redesign of proven universal speaker systems our mission. The HELIX COMPOSE i5 series is the link between i7 and i3, created for sophisticated music lovers with a sparked ambition for a true hi-fi experience. A lovechild of phenomenal sound and unmatched practicality: Developed with the vision of unique speaker highlights that are also true problem solvers. All speaker impedances are perfectly matched for the combination with our HELIX and MATCH amplifiers, guaranteeing maximum performance at any time. In addition, we implemented our COMPOSE-exclusive mechanical technologies that offer unbeatable practical benefits. 

Precise midrange performance for demanding multi-way systems
The Ci5 M80FM-S3 has been engineered as an audiophile midrange driver designed to deliver exceptionally accurate midband reproduction in high-quality three-way systems. Its wide usable frequency range, high power handling and generous linear excursion make it ideal for applications where clarity, natural tonality and dynamics are essential. 
Thanks to its significantly reduced outer diameter compared with conventional 3” drivers as well as the FlexMount technology, the Ci5 M80FM-S3 also offers outstanding integration flexibility – even in tight OEM openings, without compromising the cone area size. This makes it perfectly suited for demanding multi-way systems, DSP-optimized setups or vehicles where precise midrange reproduction and a compact form factor are equally important.

Sophisticated engineering for dynamics, efficiency and low distortion
The remarkable performance of the Ci5 M80FM-S3 is the result of a carefully coordinated combination of materials and mechanical design. Its silicon-coated paper cone provides high internal damping, an exceptionally natural and accurate midrange reproduction and suppresses unwanted resonance frequencies. The particularly narrow surround structure, whose inward-folded surround edge is bonded in a complex manufacturing process, works in conjunction with the innovative magnet system to allow for a large linear excursion – a key factor behind the driver’s high power handling and low-distortion behavior, ensuring confident performance even at elevated listening levels.
Furthermore, it noticeably reduces the outer diameter while increasing the effective cone area. The result is a compact form factor paired with high acoustic efficiency. Completing the design is an aluminum dustcap that enhances upper-midrange performance, along with a powerful push-pull neodymium magnet system that combines high efficiency with minimal distortion – contributing significantly to the precise, dynamic sonic character of the Ci5 M80FM-S3.

High efficiency
HELIX COMPOSE equals smart engineering and accordingly implements highly efficient 3 Ohm technology, that perfectly harmonizes with all HELIX and MATCH amplifiers and at the same time allows a clearly perceptible plus in efficiency and maximum sound pressure.

High-tech polymer basket
The Ci5 M50FM-S3 speaker basket is made of a high-tech polymer composite, which has been additionally reinforced with glass spheres. The result: maximum stability with minimal self-resonance, while also eliminating flux modulation of the magnetic system and maximum resistance to thermal influences. Last but not least, this allows for much more compact basket dimensions and thus simplified installations in cramped installation conditions.

FlexMount80 – Universal meets car-specific
FlexMount is a mounting system based on specially developed adaptor rings, allowing the installation of COMPOSE FlexMount speakers in an almost infinite number of vehicles. Thus, the universal loudspeaker effortlessly becomes a vehicle-specific loudspeaker, that can be easily installed in the original installation position of the vehicle in an acoustically optimized way with the matching FlexMount adaptor ring.

FlexConnect – One terminal for all cases
With our FlexConnect terminal, HELIX COMPOSE speakers can easily be connected directly to the original wiring harness of the vehicle, maintaining the automotive standard of the plug connection as well as guaranteeing reverse polarity protection. Similar to our FlexMount system, this technology relies on specially developed, vehicle-specific adaptors.

WireKits – Plug & Play at its best
Our WireKits realize the connection of HELIX COMPOSE components to the original wiring harness, or optionally to the crossover, in the most comfortable way. With manufacturing according to the high standards of the automotive industry, these arrestable adaptor cables meet all requirements for the harsh environmental conditions that installers are facing in vehicles every day.
