System One HCS-26SB is a pair of awesome affordable tripod speakers, which are part of the new and improved generation in their HCS series. Its physics are perfectly balanced for the smaller rooms, alternatives if you want to use the speakers as surround speakers together with the series' floor model. A new tweeter and a 4 "element play better than the price tag indicates. On the back we find both a base port and a keyhole bracket for wall mounting.

The Swedish brand System One has further developed its popular and best-selling HCS speaker series, which was launched on the market in early 2020, together with the more lavish 100 series.
The development work has taken place in Sweden, but thanks to efficient production in a factory in Asia with few intermediaries, System One offers something completely extra - at a rarely seen price!

The HCS series has inherited some technology from its more expensive siblings. The material for the membrane of the elements is the same, where above all the new Cortina tweeter is individually the component that has been further developed most from the previous generation. This gives the new models the ability to reproduce more details in the reproduction, and it builds up a larger and more vivid soundscape in your home. The intermediate register and base elements are built around cardboard cones, which have an excellent relationship between lightness, rigidity and internal damping properties.
Of course, the HCS series does not quite reach the same level as the more lavish 100 models, but the sound character is similar. To get down to the price segment, the magnetic systems of the elements are not as large and the cabinet walls are not quite as thick.

The new HCS series includes three models. The floor-standing speakers HCS-26B, the center speaker HCS-26CB and the tripod / surround speakers HCS-26SB. They have deliberately tried to keep the impedance even at 4 Ohm, in order to be able to extract more power from the amplifier. An important ingredient is of course to have a strong one, to get both purity and dynamism to the reproduction.
