Vestia N°4 Hi-Fi speaker Vestia wears its heart on its sleeve. This latest addition to the range is a 3-way floor model that returns to the source of the sound. Its 81/4" (21 cm) woofers effortlessly reproduce extremely deep and powerful bass.

Focal Vestia N4 speakers are the flagship Vestia floorstanders, a four driver design with two 8" bass drivers and one mid range unit. It also uses the aluminum magnesium inverted dome, TAM tweeter. These are very large speakers designed to fill any space with room-filling sound, with a choice of three impressive finishes. The Vestia range sits just above the Chora line and just below the Aria line.

New Cabinet Design

The N4 has more than one tuned vent. This enhances the mid bass impact and improves the low end extension. The MDF cabinet is well braced to reduce resonances and give a natural sound. This provides a solid mount for the innovative Slatefibre drivers.

Passive time alignment is used to ensure that all audio frequencies arrive at the listener at the same time. This is done by tilting the speakers back slightly, by using a built in aluminum stand.

New Slatefibre Cone Drivers

The N4 uses the innovative Slatefibre cone drivers. This technology was developed in 2019 and uses recycled non-woven carbon fibers. This material gives a rich and ultra-balanced sound, especially in the midrange. The slate effect also has aesthetic properties that make the range standout.

The carbon fibers are bonded with a thermoplastic polymer, and are all oriented in the same direction. The result is a very strong and rigid cone with top quality acoustic properties. Damping is also improved along with the weight. Light-weight materials make the drivers more sensitive.

TAM inverted cone tweeter

All of the Vestia range uses the TAM tweeter. This has a 25mm Aluminum magnesium inverted dome. Originally developed for car audio, the tweeter has good off-axis properties. Moreover, the metal material disperses heat for more power handling and less distortion.

Hosted by Range

The Vestia range runs from the N1 to the N4 as well as the CC center speaker. The N1 is a bookshelf speaker with two drivers. The N2 has two 6" bass units and one 6" midrange unit as well as the TAM tweeter. Next, the N3 is a five driver unit with three 6" bass units and a 6" mid range driver.

There is also a three driver center speaker, allowing you to match any of the other models together for a multi channel setup. For example, the N4 with the CC center would make fantastic channels in a soap-channel setup, with some of the smaller Vestia speakers catering to the rear channels.
