A turntable is not just a record player, but also a way to experience sound as artists intended. Playing vinyl records provides a warm, analog sound that no digital technology can replicate. In our collection, you will find record players from beginner to audiophile Hi-Fi models from Pro-Ject, Rega, Thorens, Clearaudio, Audio-Technica, Denon, McIntosh and other leading manufacturers.

Why is vinyl sound special?

Vinyl records store sound in an analog form - without digital compression and without lost frequencies. The result is natural high frequencies, warm mids, and an organic, "breathing" bass, giving the sensation that the musicians are playing right there, in front of you. Add to the sound quality the ritual of listening to vinyl - taking the record out of its sleeve, lowering it onto the grooves, admiring the album cover - and you'll understand why vinyl record sales have been growing every year for more than 15 consecutive years.

How to choose a turntable?

When choosing a record player, the most important factors are the drive type, tonearm quality, and cartridge type.

Belt-drive turntables (Pro-Ject, Rega, Thorens, Clearaudio) are the most popular among Hi-Fi enthusiasts. The belt isolates motor vibrations from the record, resulting in a cleaner and more detailed sound. This is the best choice for home music listening.

Direct-drive turntables (Technics, Audio-Technica, Denon) offer completely stable rotation speed and faster startup. Popular among professional DJs, but also perfectly suitable for everyday listening, especially higher-end models.

For beginners, we recommend turntables with a pre-mounted MM (Moving Magnet) cartridge – allowing you to start playing immediately without additional setup. For advanced users, we offer models with interchangeable cartridges and higher-class tonearms – this allows you to upgrade the system step by step without changing the player itself.

Most popular turntable manufacturers

Pro-Ject - an Austrian company offering a wide range of models from affordable Debut series to audiophile The Classic and Signature models. Best price-to-quality ratio on the market.

Rega - a British Hi-Fi legend, renowned for its precisely tuned turntables. The Rega Planar series (Planar 1, 2, 3, 6, 8, 10) is a benchmark against which other manufacturers are measured.

Thorens - a Swiss company with over 140 years of experience. Thorens turntables combine classic design with modern engineering and excellent sound quality.

Clearaudio - a German High-End manufacturer, offering turntables, tonearms and cartridges for the most audiophile listening.

The turntable - the beginning of the system

The record player is the first link in the chain, but other components also influence the final sound:

Cartridge and stylus - components that directly touch the record and largely determine sound quality. The stylus should be replaced every 800-1,000 hours of playing. A worn stylus not only degrades the sound but also irreversibly damages records. You can find replacement styli for the most popular models in our assortment.

Maintenance - clean vinyl sounds better and preserves the stylus. Antistatic brushes, record cleaning solutions, and stylus cleaner are in every vinyl lover's arsenal. You can find all turntable and record care products in a separate section.

Accessories - high-quality turntable accessories such as weights (clamp/weight), slipmats, anti-vibration feet, spirit levels, and tonearm cables help to achieve maximum sound potential from your record player.

Turntable prices: what budget is needed?

Up to €300 - good entry-level turntables with integrated cartridge (Audio-Technica AT-LP60X, Pro-Ject T1). Ideal for beginners and as a gift.

€300-€800 - mid-range players with a quality tonearm cartridge (Pro-Ject Debut, Rega Planar 1/2). Significantly better sound quality, possibility to upgrade the system in the future.

€800-€2,000 - Hi-Fi turntables for serious enthusiasts (Rega Planar 3/6, Pro-Ject The Classic, Thorens TD 1600). Precise sound, best quality components.

Over €2,000 - audiophile and High-End players (Clearaudio, McIntosh, Rega Planar 8/10, Roksan). Maximum sound quality without compromise.

For more than 29 years, we have been helping people discover great sound. If you are not sure which turntable is right for you, contact us by phone +370 683 90000 or visit our showroom in Kaunas, where you can listen to and see the model live.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Ar man reikia fono stiprintuvo (phono preamp)?

Taip / ne - priklauso nuo jūsų patefono:

-Jei grotuvas turi įmontuotą phono preamp arba turi išėjimą "LINE", tuomet papildomas stiprintuvo modulis gali nebūti reikalingas.

-Jei patefonas neturi fono stiprintuvo, reikės išorinio phono preampo arba stiprintuvo su “PHONO” įėjimu.

Be fono stiprintuvo garsas bus labai tylus, ir galite girdėti šniokštimą ar traškėjimą.

Koks skirtumas tarp MM (Moving Magnet) ir MC (Moving Coil) galvučių?

  • MM (Moving Magnet) - dažniausias vartojimo tipas, adata galima pakeisti atskirai.
