    The High Amplitude Multi-Roll (HAMR) surround allows a maximum, linear cone excursion for high SPL, while maintaining full control over the diaphragm at any excursion stage for high sound clarity.

    Re-Engineered For Highest Performance

    More power: the 2nd generation of R-Series speakers includes many improvements over the 1st generation, such as the increased voice coil diameter from 30 to 35mm, while the Neodymium magnet diameter was also enlarged. This results in a stronger motor structure with a more powerful bass output.

    Hi-Res Audio Tweeters

    CFRP Cone

    CFRP (Carbon Fiber Reinforced Polymer) is a very lightweight yet rigid material. On a standard, off-the-shelf speaker cone, the edges are naturally weaker than the center due to the elongated shape. Since the CFRP material is directional, it can be manipulated during the molding process to strengthen the areas of the cone that are normally weak. The result is rigidity throughout the cone that delivers accurate and efficient performance.

    Hi-Res Audio Tweeters

    The 2nd generation R-Series tweeters feature Hi-Res Audio capabilities with a frequency response of higher than 40kHz. The tweeter cones are constructed by CFRP, allowing them to reproduce very high frequencies of over 40kHz, while maintaining an overall soft and smooth tonal balance of a soft dome tweeter.

    Outstanding Clarity

    The new voice coil is made of aluminum, compared to regular copper wire coils. We increased the voice-coil diameter from 30mm to 35mm in the 2nd generation R-Series: the benefit is higher clarity especially in the mid-high frequency area and a more powerful bass reproduction.

    Swivel Tweeter

    Both component and coaxial models feature a ring tweeter that swivels to improve off-axis response in less-than-ideal locations. You can aim it by hand for best imaging and staging at your listening position.
