New 2022 R-Series Speakers
Alpine introduces the 3rd generation of its legendary R-Series speakers, built with innovative materials to deliver more power and simply amazing sound. You can choose from a professional and standard speaker line to suit your desired sound quality and budget.
2-way component speakers
The R2-S65C is a new 2022 R-Series 2-way component speaker model. It features a 16.5 cm door-mounted woofer and a 4.3 cm tweeter that reproduces frequencies up to 40 kHz.
Fiberglass reinforced cone
The door subwoofer features brand new glass-fiber reinforced cones. This material is very stiff and extremely light, resulting in extremely fast response and extremely accurate music reproduction.
Composite body and large magnets
Standard models (R2-S65C, R2-S65 , R2-S69C and R2-S69 ) have composite housings (compared to the cast aluminum housings of the PRO models), making them less expensive. They accommodate larger magnets than previous generations (while maintaining the same mounting depth).
Hi-Res Audio certified Hard Dome tweeter
The all-new magnesium hard dome tweeters deliver clear, detailed music reproduction and play up to 40 kHz (Hi-Res Audio). You can mount them in a threaded housing (for example, in a door panel) or use the included brackets for mounting on the dashboard. The tweeters can be rotated in the housing to point them directly at your favorite location.
Tweeter, easily adaptable for installation in factory speaker locations
You can simply remove the R-Series tweeter mounting frame and trim ring to reduce its overall size and diameter. The tweeter itself is then small enough to fit into many OEM tweeter locations (inside pillars, mirror triangles, or door trims) for discreet installation.
Low-pass X-Over filter
These small X-Over filters are very easy to install - in some cases you can leave the original wiring in the car door by simply installing this filter, saving a lot of time during installation. You can adjust the tweeter level -3dB / 0dB / +3dB.
HAMR ring
Alpine's HAMR (High-Amplitude Multi-Roll) speaker ring allows for maximum cone movement while maintaining excellent control. This results in strong bass at high volumes without distortion.
New speaker grilles
The new hexagonal speaker grille design looks very aggressive and does not increase the overall diameter of the speaker mounting.
