Axton, a well-known car audio brand, introduces its latest 2014 series of easy-to-install component and coaxial sound systems, designed for all those who want to significantly improve the sound of music in their car in a few simple steps. The new Axton components ATC25 (13 cm) and ATC26 (16.5 cm) are equipped with powerful ferrite magnets, guaranteeing rich and powerful low-frequency sound. They can be easily installed in the standard speaker mounting openings of most cars. For cars where speaker locations are only in the doors or have limited depth, Axton has prepared ATC25N (13 cm) and ATC26N (16.5 cm) components with compact, yet equally powerful neodymium magnets. The woofers used in these components surpass the standards of their class – they use anthracite-colored baskets, low-resonance polypropylene cones, and durable nitrile rubber surrounds. High mechanical and electrical stability is achieved thanks to a Nomex "spider" and a 25 mm voice coil wound on a polyimide former. All components use a new, 25 mm lightweight dome tweeter with a neodymium magnet, reproducing clean and undistorted sound up to 20 kHz even under high loads. The delicate sound of the tweeter largely depends on its mounting position – the included adapters provide versatile mounting options, recessing the tweeter into the trim or mounting it on the surface. Despite their compact dimensions, the frequency filters (crossovers) are meticulously assembled: they use high-quality MKT film capacitors; the tweeters are adaptable to any situation by adjusting them at three levels (+3 dB / 0 dB / -3 dB).
