DESCRIPTION

Can the world's best amplifier be made even better? Our engineers faced this enormous challenge when developing the MX4 PRO. Because at the level of a BRAX product, every detail must be constantly scrutinized and optimized, even if it seems insignificant at first glance. Only in this way is it possible to continuously push the boundaries - both in terms of sound and technology. Ultimately, we have succeeded in redefining the standards in amplifier construction with the MX4 PRO. It is the perfect symbiosis of state-of-the-art components and ingenious circuitry improvements, without neglecting the traditional virtues and traditions for which the BRAX brand enjoys the highest reputation worldwide.

It goes without saying that Audiotec Fischer is the only manufacturer ever to use exclusively hand-selected transistors in the production of every BRAX amplifier. These transistors are classified into over 300 classes using proprietary measuring instruments and then assembled accordingly. This unique process guarantees not only the smallest production tolerances, but above all, unique measurement and performance values.

A significant contribution to the overall performance is also made by the enormous effort put into supplying power to all components. Separate and stabilized power supplies for two channels each guarantee optimal operating conditions for the individual amplifier stages. The electrolytic buffer capacitors, specially manufactured for Audiotec Fischer and featuring extremely low internal resistance thanks to 8-way contacting, are now just as legendary as the encapsulated high-performance toroidal transformers, which can deliver more than 1,800 watts of power. A completely redesigned circuit board layout with four solid copper layers ensures maximum power delivery capability – so it's no surprise that the MX4 PRO, with 4 x 300 watts RMS, can deliver even more power than ever at the speaker terminals.

But that's not all - the MX4 PRO is also a prime example of bridging the gap between analog amplifier technology and the digital age. A previously unprecedented effort has been put into volume control of the digital signal inputs. In an absolute first in the car audio segment, in conjunction with the BRAX DSP, the signal level is controlled without reducing the digital resolution, only immediately before the output stages that drive the speakers, thus ensuring completely lossless analog signal quality. The BRAX DSP embeds the volume information in the digital SPDIF data stream and decodes it again in the MX4 PRO. This alone illustrates our engineers' striving for absolute perfection.

This meticulous attention to detail naturally extends to production. Each individual device is manufactured exclusively to order, individually tailored to the customer's specifications, and its serial number is recorded in a service database. This makes each amplifier truly unique, worthy of the "High-End Car HiFi Made in Germany" label.
