The all-new 500 series 'e' version introduces an 8” model featuring 2.5” voice coils and a 100oz magnet, as well as 10”, 12”, and 15” models equipped with 3” voice coils and 120oz motor structures. These new speakers boast 12mm top plates and extended coil windings, delivering a 50% increase in Xmax. Power handling capabilities are boosted to 500W for the 508 model and 700W for the 510, 512, and 515 models. Updates across the series include a fiberglass-loaded non-pressed treated paper cone, taller and thicker EROM surrounds with black stitching, heavier dual-layer spiders with integrated tinsel leads, and new baskets and motor boots that enhance the cosmetic appeal with DD branding.
