The completely new 500 series "e" version introduces an 8” model with 2.5” voice coils and a 100oz magnet, as well as 10”, 12”, and 15” models with 3” voice coils and 120oz magnetic motors. These new speakers feature a 12mm top plate and longer coil windings, which provide a 50% Xmax increase. Power increases to 500W for the 508e model and 700W for the 510, 512, and 515 models. Updates to this series include cones with fiberglass-reinforced non-pressed treated paper, taller and thicker EROM surrounds with black stitching, heavier double-layer spiders with integrated tinsel leads, and new baskets and motor covers that improve cosmetics with DD branding.
