AW3 midrange drivers represent the "highest technology" in drivers. Machined motor structures with distortion-reducing Faraday rings are held to the tightest tolerance standards and provide a well-damped magnetic field for the voice coil. The motor features dual neodymium magnets to achieve high magnetic energy from the smallest possible footprint. Top and bottom ventilation are used for maximum heat dissipation. The suspension has been optimized for sharp mid-range and extended high-frequency. The coil wire is of the highest temperature grade and held with the best adhesives. The coil former is vented, and the wire gauge/coil former thickness is optimized to reduce moving mass. The adhesive from the coil to the cone is joined with a specialized, cured material to transmit all energy from the coil to the cone. The cone is made of lightweight aluminum to achieve a wide frequency range and efficient energy transfer to the air. DDA components comprise a complete set of amazing technologies found at the pinnacle of the world's best drivers, coupled with precision German assembly and attention to detail. The result is a clear, transparent, and detailed sound with powerful bass reproduction.
