5 midrange speakers represent "state-of-the-art" in drivers. Machined motor structures with distortion-reducing Faraday rings are held to the tightest tolerance standards and provide a well-damped magnetic field for the voice coil. The suspension has been optimized for sharp mid-range and controlled low-end frequency response. The voice coil wire is of the highest temperature grade and held in place by the best glues. The coil former is vented and the wire gauge/coil former thickness is optimized to reduce moving mass. The glue from the voice coil to the cone is coupled with a specialized, hardened material to transfer all the energy from the voice coil to the cone. The cone is constructed of lightweight aluminum to achieve a wide frequency range and efficient energy transfer into the air. DDA components comprise a whole host of amazing technologies found at the pinnacle of the world's best drivers, coupled with precision German assembly and attention to detail.
