The SL700 series is a nostalgic nod to subwoofers from the 2000s, designed to play any music the system is tuned for. With a rich heritage tracing back to the DD9000/DD4500 series from that era, the SL700 models combine stiff, lightweight cones, robust dual spiders, highly compressed EROM surrounds, and a high-energy 3-inch voice coil that hits hard, low, and fast.

While current subwoofer trends are leaning towards air movement and hair tricks, we were asked to develop music-oriented subwoofers that would be highly efficient in smaller, everyday driver enclosures. By focusing the bandwidth from 30-300Hz, we can optimize excursion and output for these applications. Our recently developed shallow cast frames, coupled with high-energy motors, allow SL700 models to fit into compact enclosures suitable for trucks, under or behind seats, motorcycle bags, off-road/marine vehicles, and highly detailed SQ builds in sealed boxes.
