Are you ready for Xmax?!

The new replacement for the legendary GZNW 12 is finally here. Creating the new Xmax series was extremely challenging, as its predecessors set the standards very high.

The new High Roll surround was developed from the world-renowned GZ SPL surround, and it maintains its shape even under maximum excursion. Many manufacturers have similar-looking surrounds, but they typically lose control much earlier than the maximum suspension excursion. With the new GZ Xmax-subwoofers, you won't have to worry about that.

Very high excursion requires numerous changes in the internal motor structure to control airflow and ensure sufficient cooling for the voice coil. Typically, it's impossible to play frequencies above 40 Hz with subwoofers that have 80-120 mm excursion, as higher frequencies cause turbulence in the motor, leading to the voice coil overheating due to insufficient cooling.
