The new successor to the legendary GZNW 15 is finally here. Creating the new Xmax series was extremely challenging, as its predecessors set the standards very high.

The new High Roll surround was developed from the world-renowned GZ SPL surround and maintains its shape even when used at maximum excursion. Many manufacturers have similar-looking surrounds, but they typically lose control much earlier than reaching the maximum suspension excursion. With the new GZ Xmax subwoofers, you won't have to worry about that.

The very high excursion demands many changes in the internal motor structure to control the airflow and ensure sufficient cooling of the voice coil. It's usually impossible to play frequencies above 40 Hz with subwoofers that have 80-120 mm of excursion because higher frequencies create turbulence in the motor, which causes the voice coil to overheat due to insufficient cooling.
