INDIANA LINE CONTINUES 2
Tesi 2 is the smallest speaker among all those introduced in the new iteration of the Indiana Line Tesi series. Despite its compact size, it works well in any sound system, delivering attractive, balanced and dynamic sound. Like other models in the Tesi line, Tesi 2 features innovative technical solutions and components directly borrowed from the acclaimed Diva series. Indiana Line Tesi 2 is available in three colors - black oak, white and mocha.
UNIVERSAL, SIMPLE SHAPE
The Tesi 2 model has a correspondingly reinforced MDF cabinet, while maintaining a simple and versatile shape. The dimensions of the speaker remain unchanged compared to its predecessor. The bass reflex port, located at the back of the speaker, like the Tesi 241, allows you to emphasize the low-frequency reproduction if necessary (when placed closer to the wall). A new addition is the trim ring covering the midrange driver basket. The Tesi 2 also has a magnetically attached grille. The overall design is complemented by gently rounded upper edges of the cabinet, emphasizing the versatile appearance of the speaker.
NEW FRONT PLATE FOR THE TWEETER
The Tesi 2 tweeter has a 26 mm diameter, a radial damping chamber and a powerful neodymium magnet. Compared to the Tesi 241 model, the front shape of the tweeter has been modified. Instead of being round, it is now rectangular, reminiscent of the top designs of the Indiana Line brand Diva line. However, the front of the Tesi 2 speaker has been made with a simpler, completely smooth mounting technique, ensuring proper dispersion of the treble. The adapted front design enhances the visual harmony between the tweeter and the bottom-mounted low-midrange speaker, while raising the aesthetic qualities of the Tesi 2 model.
ENHANCED LOW/MID-FREQUENCIES SPEAKER
The two-way system uses a low-midrange speaker with a 12 cm diameter polypropylene-mica composite membrane. The midrange speaker has been optimized using modern design methods and has a larger and stronger magnet compared to the Tesi 241. One of the main components of the low-midrange transducer is a linear inductor ring. Also noteworthy is the dust cover on the membrane, which replaces the phase corrector known from the Tesi 241 model and other designs of the previous generation of the Tesi series. The components used help to achieve low distortion levels and improve the dynamics of the low-frequency range. As a result, the bass frequencies are clear and deep, and the sound is articulate and richer in detail even at high volume. This can be very surprising, given the compact dimensions of the speaker.
DUAL-WAVE SUSPENSION
The Tesi 2 midrange speaker features an innovative Dual-Wave enclosure, visually reminiscent of stage speakers with accordion-like enclosures. This solution is introduced in the next generation of the Diva series. The dual-wave enclosure was designed to extend the linear operating range of the low-midrange transducer and reduce intermodulation distortion, especially in the low registers. This improvement also improves the clarity of the midrange frequencies, especially noticeable when reproducing percussion, acoustic and string instruments.
IMPROVED CROSSOVER DESIGN
The loudspeaker crossover mounted in the Tesi 2 column has been improved compared to the one used in the Tesi 241 model. It has been optimized using modern design methods and specialized measurement systems. The crossover topology is inspired by solutions already known in the new models belonging to the Diva line of the Indiana Line brand. The designers have maintained the same quality of components, ensuring a smooth impedance characteristic, high efficiency, low distortion level and effective sound dispersion. These features allow the compact Tesi 2 to work seamlessly with almost any amplifier, including a stereo mini system.
