DESCRIPTION

A universal magnetic door/window sensor that requires no wires – data is transmitted via the wireless Z-Wave standard, and the power source can be replaced with an internal battery. This sensor can be installed virtually anywhere: on any door, window, or garage gate.

The sensor expands the system's functions, allowing not only to monitor the opening of doors or windows but also features a temperature sensor and a contact input that can be used to connect an external switch or sensor.

It can be used for automatic lighting control, access control and security systems, and monitoring and control of indoor microclimate. This universal sensor increases home security and provides more comfort for residents.

This sensor integrates 4 devices:

1. Magnetic contact

Wireless sensors installed in rooms will provide additional information to the main "Home Center2" controller, and this information can be used to control other components of the FIBARO system. The main controller constantly checks the status of windows or doors and will react to changes as needed. This sensor can be used as a security system element that will notify you about opening doors or windows. It can also serve as an additional element to automatically control lighting or ventilation systems when room doors are opened/closed. These are just a few of the possibilities for using this sensor.

 2. Wireless switch sensor

The door/window sensor can be used with "Home Center2" to trigger any function. When the contact input of this sensor is connected to a standard wall switch, it can control other system components, e.g., turn on or off the lighting of the entire dwelling, activate irrigation, or other devices. The sensor's contact input is designed to allow the user to connect an unplanned switch to a desired location without the need to lay new cables. The number of sensors and their placement in rooms is no longer limited by your interior design or wiring infrastructure.

3. Temperature sensor

The door/window module also works with the now standard DS18B20 temperature sensor (sold separately). This small sensor is built into the door/window sensor and wirelessly transmits temperature readings to the overall system. The installation of the temperature sensor is very simple. Just connect the sensor leads to the terminal block and tighten them. The temperature sensor expands the functions of the entire system. The universal door/window sensor with a temperature sensor provides information to the "Home Center2" controller, which, upon receiving information about the open window sensor readings, reacts accordingly by controlling heating or air conditioning systems. The temperature sensor can also be used in the creation and management of a heating control profile.

 4. Scene switch

The door/window sensor has a unique function that can automatically turn on or off a pre-programmed equipment operation scene. Any input of the sensor, be it a magnetic contact, temperature readings, or an activated external sensor, can trigger a programmed scene and thus react to the change that has occurred.

Easy and quick installation

Installing this sensor is truly very simple. Just remove the sensor from the box, open the casing, pull out the protective tab from the power element, and connect the sensor to the main controller. The sensor can be attached to its future location with the provided double-sided adhesive tape or screws.

Low power consumption ensures the power element operates for up to 2 years. The sensor will automatically warn in advance about a low power element and its status. The current status of the element is always visible in the main sensor control interface.

Wireless update

The modern FIBARO door/window sensor is designed to allow wireless firmware updates. Every device update happens smoothly and without any additional user actions. Fully automated software updates are not only convenient but also safe.

Individuality

The FIBARO door/window sensor comes in seven colors. Choose your preferred color, matched to your home's interior design, and enjoy safety and comfort.
