The Marantz AV8805 is characterised by exceptional build quality, delivering distortion-free sound reproduction for music and movies. The extremely robust chassis – an essential element for sensitive sound cards that reproduce the finest sound details – helps to minimise vibrations. The oversized toroidal transformer that powers the main capacitors is mounted on a 5mm thick aluminium plate, ensuring stable operation. The copper-plated chassis ensures the best possible grounding and provides an extremely good Signal/Noise ratio. A total of 17 HDAM modules are used, which help to effectively separate channels and improve sound quality. All this is covered by a heavy top plate consisting of three parts.
8 HDMI inputs, including one on the front, create an advanced video processing system for the AV8805. The HDMI connections support the latest formats and protocols, such as 4K Ultra HD 60Hz video resolution, 4:4:4 Pure Color, BT.2020, 21:9 video format, 3D and HDR. Also included is Dolby Vision support, HLG (hybrid log gamma), a new HDR format.
