Marantz has developed its own discrete boards to replace the standard ICs. These HDAMs consist of discrete surface mount components with short mirror-image L/R signal paths. These devices operate in the same way as widely used opto-amplifiers, but significantly outperform these designs in terms of slew rate and reduced noise floor, producing a more dynamic, accurate and detailed sound. The CD6007's proprietary HDAM-SA2 circuit improves on the previous HDAM module to provide even more stable power delivery. Idle current stability is less affected by transistor power temperature, so audio performance is maintained even at high output levels.

High quality SAK conversion
The CD6007 features the new Hi-Res SAK conversion. It is equipped with a reference-class AK4490 D/A converter offering two selectable filter options and provides up to 192kHz/24bit and DSD 5.6MHz resolution for optimal musical reproduction with tight bass, pleasant midrange and smooth extended highs. CD playback and Hi-Res formats from USB storage devices. |
High current power supply
The audio power supply uses high-speed, high-current Shottky barrier diodes and new higher-value current storage capacitors compared to the previous model. The power supply capacitors have been increased in size by 120% to improve current stability and reduce AC noise during long listening sessions. |
Compared to the CD6006, the CD6007 offers an improved and redesigned headphone amplifier block. The CD6007 inherits the exclusive Marantz HDAM-SA2 circuit with three gain settings (low/mid/high) for perfect matching with almost any brand of headphones for optimal solo listening. However, if you prefer, the headphone amplifier also features a "Power Off" function that automatically turns off the headphone amplifier when headphones are not connected to the unit to prevent unwanted interference or noise.

Digital filter
The CD6007 introduces a new optional digital filter option. This dual-mode filter (Filter1/Filter2) allows you to optimally reproduce digital music content using the new AK4490 D/A converter to your taste. Filter 1 is a slow-rolling setting that enhances the deep stereo base, while Filter 2 is a sharp-rolling filter for more accurate reproduction of the sense of space. |
