Marantz PM6007 Integrated Stereo Amplifier (Various Colors)

Feedback amplifier technology provides wide bandwidth and fast sound reproduction. Combined with a high-current power supply, the PM6007 amplifier section has a large power reserve to easily drive even the most demanding speakers. Advanced thermal compensation prevents memory distortion under all circumstances, allowing the amplifier to operate at peak performance.

The PM6007 features new Hi-Res D/A conversion. It is equipped with a reference-grade AK4490 D/A converter that delivers up to 192kHz/24-bit resolution for optimal fidelity for your Hi-Res audio file types.

The power supply supports high-current, fast Shottky barrier diodes and high-current storage capacitors powered by a toroidal transformer, which together provide a wide dynamic range and low impedance.

The toroidal transformer has several advantages over a conventional EI core transformer. The highly efficient design provides more power compared to an EI core transformer of the same size. In addition, the toroidal transformer shape produces low electromagnetic radiation and mechanical vibration for better sound quality.

Marantz has developed their own discrete boards to replace the standard ICs. These HDAMs (Hyper Dynamic Amplifier Modules) consist of discrete surface mount elements with short mirrored L/R signal paths. These devices work in exactly the same way as optical amplifiers, but they dramatically outperform these solutions in terms of crossover frequency and lower noise floor, resulting in a more dynamic, accurate and detailed sound.

In the PM6007, the HDAM-SA3 circuit improves over the previous module, and the stability of the idle current is less affected by the temperature of the power transistor to maintain audio performance even at high output levels.

One coaxial digital and two optical digital inputs are now available for connecting digital devices and playing back Hi-Res audio (up to 192 kHz/24-bit PCM) through the advanced PM6007 audio circuit. The entire digital section is fully shielded with an additional metal housing to ensure that the digital stage does not affect the analog signal.

The PM6007 supports an optional external subwoofer with a fixed low-frequency cutoff frequency of 150Hz. Enjoy precise bass without any audible peaks or mids, regardless of where you place the subwoofer.
