The SACD 30n is designed to meet the needs of today's audiophile who wants to combine a large digital music collection with major online music services. The Marantz SACD 30n marries the classic premium SA-CD/CD player with a modern digital source hub. It plays high-resolution files including FLAC HD and DSD from your home network, local USB storage and online sources such as streaming services and internet radio. It features HEOS streaming, voice and multi-room support, DAC functions as well as Apple AirPlay 2 and Bluetooth integration. The SACD 30n is a future-proof player, accepting file formats up to 11.2Mhz quad-DSD and 384kHz/32-bit PCM via USB-B/USD-DAC.

The SACD 30n is built on a separate circuit board, the Hyper Dynamic Amplifier Module, or HDAM. Constructed from hundreds of individual parts rather than a conventional solution, Marantz HDAM technology significantly outperforms standard integrated circuits, creating the unparalleled musicality you've come to expect from Marantz.

Marantz launched its first compact disc player, the original CD-63, in 1982. We've continued to innovate ever since. At the heart of the SACD 30n is a new, innovative SACDM-3L transport mechanism, designed specifically to deliver the best possible performance when playing music from SA-CDs, CDs and data discs. This new mechanism promises exceptional sound quality from regular CDs and SACDs and allows listeners to create their own high-resolution audio compilation discs using a computer's DVD burner. When the SACD/CD source is not in use, the drive's power is turned off to prevent noise or interference.

DSD is the heart of Marantz’s music audio reproduction for digital sources in the SACD 30n. PCM and DXD inputs are converted to DSD at 11.2MHz using the player’s proprietary MMM-Stream converter. The resulting high-frequency signal is processed by a unique MMM conversion stage, which is used in place of a conventional DAC to generate an analog output. The MMM-Stream processing section replaces the redundant filters typically used for digital-to-analog conversion and enables Marantz’s proprietary music content management filtering. Two system clocks ensure the most accurate conversion of the incoming signal, whether disc or digital inputs, from 44.1kHz to 384kHz. This unique configuration is matched to maximum sound quality reproduction with a highly accurate signal, using dual 32-bit floating point DSP for MMM-Stream. Sigma Delta modulation allows the pure DSD standard signal to be transmitted to the MMM conversion section in the form of a very high frequency pulse stream. For optimal sound quality, a DSD to analog filter can be used in the Marantz HDAM (Hyper Dynamic Amplifier Modules) output stage.

Enjoy music straight from your headphones with a completely redesigned high-quality headphone stage featuring a dedicated amplifier module using the exclusive Marantz HDAM-SA2 circuit with exceptional SNR (signal-to-noise ratio). To work with a wider range of headphones, the gain can be adjusted to three preset settings (low/medium/high) to smoothly accommodate low- and high-impedance headphones. When no headphones are connected to the unit, the headphone amplifier is disabled to prevent noise or interference.

Like the MODEL 30 integrated amplifier, the SACD 30n is built to the highest standards. The solid steel chassis is complemented by sturdy side panels made of thick, heavy, non-magnetic aluminum, and a rigid steel top cover eliminates interference. Robust, brass-plated independent analog output terminals for fixed and variable ensure the best possible signal.
