Mercedes-Benz S COUPE, audio system

A custom, powerful and aesthetically integrated sound system was created for this MB S Coupe, maintaining the original interior design and maximizing the acoustic capabilities of the car.

Work completed

  • Made Band Pass type subwoofer box , mounted in the trunk
  • The bass system is designed so that all sound pressure is directed directly into the cabin through the armrest.
  • The armrest has special grilles made of acoustic fabric that remain invisible even when the armrest is open.
  • Amplifiers are installed in the trunk, next to the original battery:

    -HELIX DSP
    -Ground Zero monoblock 3 kW

  • Front mounted Focal (10 cm) components
  • Focal KX 16.5cm woofers integrated under the feet ensure rich and controlled bass reproduction
  • Made podiums in the front pillars, covered in Alcantara, identical to the original pillar upholstery

Result

After the work, the S Coupe received an extremely powerful, precisely balanced and visually unobtrusive sound system, in which strong low frequencies are combined with high sound quality and the original interior style is fully preserved.
