DESCRIPTION

The Silence World line allows you to effectively solve the problem of noise. Using them, soundproof partitions are installed quickly and inexpensively, which, being significantly thinner and lighter than analogues, allow you to save floor space, and due to their unique acoustic efficiency, ensure compliance with the required noise standards.

Soundproofing SW-17/SW-30 board is a composition of 18mm special, unique rubber compound, glued onto 12.5mm plasterboard. When installed directly to existing wall partitions or ceilings, these boards provide additional sound insulation.

The SW-17/SW-30 panel has a thicker layer of soundproofing rubber than the SW-12 panel. Therefore, it is used when increased soundproofing is desired, when the panels are installed on only one side.

Standard panel dimensions - 1000x1200 mm,

Advantages:

* Rubber granulate panels have a higher density ( about 750 kg/m3 - 800 kg/m3 ) compared to conventional sound-absorbing materials. For example, the density of rock wool is about 40 kg/m3, and the density of foam is up to 30 kg/m3. Therefore, composite sound insulation panels SW are distinguished by better sound absorption properties, especially when isolating low-frequency sound.

* Quick and easy installation

* Simple final finish - simply fill and paint, just like standard drywall

Installation

Soundproofing panels are installed with screws (not shorter than 60mm or 80mm) on the existing wall. It is recommended to fix each panel with at least 9 screws according to the specified scheme. Note: the panel is plastic, so the screws cannot be overtightened.

We recommend using galvanized screws with a drive that has as much expansion as possible in masonry.

How much will acoustic panels SW reduce sound/noise?

Installing the acoustic panel SW-12 or SW-17/SW-30 directly to existing wall partitions or ceilings provides an additional 9-15dB of sound insulation. To make it easier to understand what change occurs when reducing the sound by 9-15dB, the noise level insulation values can be expressed as a percentage. Reducing the sound by 1 dB - there is a barely noticeable sound attenuation, reducing by 3 dB - a large and clearly noticeable sound attenuation, approximately 20% sound reduction. If the sound level is reduced by 6 dB - this corresponds to about 35% sound reduction, and if reduced by 10 dB - this is equivalent to about 50% sound reduction. This means that reducing the sound level by 10 dB, a person perceives it as half as loud.

When the acoustic panel SW interacts with other materials, such as 12cm wide partition blocks, it is possible to obtain a partition/wall that will provide 55 dB of sound insulation. And such sound insulation will be achieved by adding only 5.5cm of sound insulation material (2.75cm on both sides).
