DESCRIPTION

iLX-700, iPhone and Apple CarPlay — a perfect combination

Apple CarPlay allows you to safely and conveniently use your iPhone in the car. Simply connect your iPhone to the iLX-700, and the Apple CarPlay icon will light up on the Alpine screen.
Using the 7" touchscreen or Siri, you can set a route destination, make calls, search for music tracks, dictate SMS messages - or Siri can simply read incoming messages to you.
Additionally, there are more Apple CarPlay approved apps available – Podcasts, Spotify, internet radio, and others – and this list is constantly expanding. Apple CarPlay allows you to use these apps without diverting your attention from the road.

Apple CarPlay apps

Once your iPhone is connected, you'll find four pre-installed Apple CarPlay apps: Music, Phone, Maps, and Messages.
They function almost identically to your iPhone, but have been optimized for in-car use while driving. Tell Siri what music you want to listen to, dictate SMS messages, specify a destination, or make a call.

We will explain these main apps in more detail below. When the car is stopped with the parking brake engaged, additional functions will become available, such as a keyboard for manually entering a destination into the navigation system.

Phone

Apple CarPlay seamlessly integrates your iPhone for easier and more functional phone use in the car. Use Siri for calling and voice messages, and keep your eyes on the road.

You will see contacts, call lists, a keyboard, or a speed dial screen.

Music

You can directly control all your iPhone music search functions using the iLX-700 touchscreen. You can also activate Siri and give commands by voice. The USB connection ensures fast control and high sound quality.

Maps

Wherever you go, let Apple CarPlay show you the way. Apple Maps will guide you along your specified route, verbally warning you of every turn, showing the route on an interactive 3-D map, alerting you to traffic conditions and estimated arrival time – all displayed on the player's screen. As soon as you start entering your destination, Apple CarPlay will use various information to predict your destination.

Messages

The best way to send or receive messages while driving is with Apple CarPlay. Using voice commands, Siri can send, read, or reply to received messages, while you can drive safely.

Additional Apple CarPlay apps

Additional Apple CarPlay approved apps, such as Spotify, Podcasts, Radio, and others, can be downloaded from iTunes to your iPhone and will appear in the player's Apple CarPlay menu. More information about updates and new apps can be found on the Apple CarPlay website.

Siri

Apple CarPlay uses Siri voice control to help you drive safely. Tell Siri what music you want to listen to, and Siri will play it. Want to read or send a text message? Siri will do it for you. Want to answer a call or make one yourself? Siri will be a great helper. You can smoothly activate Siri by pressing the designated iLX-700 or multi-function steering wheel button.

Download the Alpine TuneIt App to your iPhone, create a user account for your car and sound system. You can adjust sound system settings, including time correction, parametric equalizer, frequency filters, and Media Xpander. You can save up to 100 different setting variations in your user account.

BASS ENGINE SQ

This advanced bass control feature automatically fine-tune the frequency filter, Q factor, and subwoofer level to achieve optimal frequency balance. Five preset options are available for quick adjustment.

Short chassis

Due to its very short chassis (7cm), the iLX-700 can be installed in almost all cars. This is very important for owners of VW Golf 7, BMW Series 1, BMW Series 3, and other cars with shallow 2DIN installation spaces.

Connecting a rearview camera to an Alpine audio/video system is very simple. Choose one of the Alpine rearview cameras offered, and car parking will become even easier. Alpine cameras are durable, with various viewing angles, designed for installation at the rear or front of the car.

Alpine interfaces can be connected for climate control and parking system display

Many car manufacturers' player screens display climate control and parking system information. If the player is replaced, this information is lost. The iLX-700 solves this problem, as Alpine interfaces can be connected to this player to display climate control and parking system information on the iLX-700 screen. This allows for full integration of the player into the car, ensuring greater driving safety and convenience.
Parking sensors show distances to obstacles in front or behind the car. This allows for easier and safer maneuvering.

Climate and heating display

Full display of climate and heating system functions, including air ventilation and seat heating functions, facilitates the selection of desired settings.
