The powerful HDS3.1 series subwoofer is designed to handle 1200 W RMS and up to 2400 W peak power, and is available in 10-inch, 12-inch, and 15-inch sizes. To meet the high power demands of subwoofers, a high-quality, 3-inch diameter, four-layer voice coil is embedded in the conical backplate to ensure excellent coil movement with a non-pressed conical design for maximum rigidity. The HDS3.1 features black electroplated top and bottom plates, as well as a vented backplate to ensure optimal cooling and reduced turbulence in the voice coil gap. The dual magnet motor has two ferrite cores measuring 190 mm x 25 mm (7.5” x 2”) and an extended t-yoke design for longer excursion and fewer playback issues. 10 AWG push-in terminals are included for easy installation, whether wired in series or parallel. Your new HDS3.1 speakers have a mounting depth of only 6.6 inches for the HDS3.110 and 6.61 inches for the HDS3.112, allowing you to mount them virtually anywhere. With a powder-coated basket and a 199 mm three-part spider, this system allows for lower tuning and higher performance than previous models. HDS3.1 subwoofers can be used in any DIY installation, including sealed, ported, and bandpass enclosures. The green dual-stitched extended excursion (EROM) profile surround allows your cone diameter to be as large as possible, while still allowing for long, controlled speaker movement.
