Mid-range speakers are an excellent way to balance your sound after adding a subwoofer. Most standard component kits and coaxial speakers are not efficient enough to keep up with the output of a hard-working sub stage. Without a strong mid-range, you'll lose the most important part of what you're listening to!

The QP series mid-woofers cover the 500Hz to about 4kHz frequency range. In other words, they reproduce the sounds of voices and instruments. Your ears are sensitive to this range, so you won't need to push the mid-range speakers too hard to hear the most important part of the sound.

The QP series is invaluable for advanced system design. They require less than 0.25 cubic feet of air space per pair in a sealed enclosure. With a bit of custom fabrication, you can place these speakers where you want for the best listening. Like the 6″ version, the 8″ can output a large flux into the 1.5″ magnet gap. Many cars have coaxial door speakers. Coaxial speakers combine a mid-range and tweeter in a single speaker location. The QP series are only mid-range speakers. Make sure you know what speakers you are replacing. The best way to find out is to remove the door panel and look at the speaker. If you are replacing a coaxial speaker with a mid-range speaker, you will need to add tweeters to cover the high frequencies.

Forget the dull, flat mid-range that came with your car. With your chosen subwoofer and a QP series tweeter, amazing full-range sound is easily achievable.
