INFORMACIJA

A display is mounted to inform about the distance to an obstacle. 4 ultrasonic sensors are installed in the front bumper. When the brake pedal is pressed, and the distance is less than 0.8m, the front sensors start measuring and providing visual information on the screen and audible information via beeps. The screen also shows which side is closer to the obstacle. The approach to an obstacle can also be heard from the increasingly frequent beeps. When the obstacle is very close, a continuous sound signal is heard.

The Steel-Mate parking system, designed for the front, warns of an obstacle when it is not visible. The alarm distance for the front system is specially made shorter (compared to a rear parking system), because the driver sees a larger area in front. When the driver is reversing, the front parking system also works - but in this case, it prevents the driver from accidentally hitting a standing pole, a car on the side, etc., with the front of the car. In other words, the front parking system remains vigilant even when the car is reversing.

Sensor sensitivity can be adjusted in the control unit (2 modes available - high and low). A separate function - front sensor deactivation time - is set separately (the time interval during which the sensors are still active after releasing the brake pedal - can be 8 or 20 seconds).
