Torque/braking speed adjustment
The latest digital motor control technology, developed for Blu-ray Disc drives, is used. This technology improves controllability, as torque and braking speed can be adjusted separately in four stages.

The pitch control function allows precise adjustment of the rotation speed within ±8% / ±16%. This is achieved through digital control from slider positioning to motor rotation control, eliminating the need for unnecessary DA conversion. This greatly improves tracking performance for precise and stable pitch adjustment.

The SL-1200 series introduces a reverse playback function for the first time, opening up new creative possibilities. In addition to 33-1/3 rpm and 45 rpm, 78 rpm is also supported.

High-sensitivity sound pickup

The cartridge, which has been a leader in the DJ scene for many years, inherits the highly reliable static balance universal S-shaped cartridge. The use of high-precision bearings achieves higher initial motion sensitivity than the SL-1200MK6. This ensures precise track tracking, ensuring impeccable tracking performance and minimal needle bounce, even under difficult playing conditions such as scratches.

The needle illumination features a new, intuitive sliding design using a high-brightness, long-lasting white LED. The illumination area and intensity have been revised to ensure better visibility of the needle tip, even in dark environments.

Power/audio cable terminals

The power and audio cable terminals allow you to disconnect the cables. The audio terminals are gold-plated to maintain sound quality. Since the terminals allow you to disconnect the cables, their maintenance becomes easier.

Extremely robust housing and efficient damping insulation

The cabinet, which is an essential part of reducing external vibrations, features sound quality improvement technology developed in the development of high-end turntables. The die-cast aluminum cabinet is rigidly integrated with a special material consisting of ABS mixed with glass fiber to create a two-layer structure. The combination of this special high-strength material and the metal cabinet ensures a higher level of rigidity and vibration damping, creating a solid cabinet that reproduces beautiful sound. The isolation consists of a spring and rubber to ensure optimal frequency characteristics. This not only ensures high sound quality and excellent resistance to hum, but also effectively suppresses external vibrations when the sound level is very high.
