Torque/braking speed adjustment
It uses the latest digital motor control technology, perfected in the development of Blu-ray Disc drives. This technology improves adjustability, as torque and braking speed can be adjusted separately in four stages.

The height control function allows you to precisely adjust the rotation speed ±8% / ±16%. This is done using digital control, from slider positioning to motor rotation control, eliminating the need for unnecessary DA conversion. This greatly improves tracking performance for accurate and stable pitch adjustment.

For the first time in the SL-1200 series, the reverse playback function is used, offering new possibilities for creative performance. In addition to 33-1/3 rpm and 45 rpm, a rotation speed of 78 rpm is also supported.

High sensitivity sound receiver

The pickup that has been a leader in the DJ scene for many years has inherited the extremely reliable static balance universal S-shaped pickup. By using high-precision bearings, a higher initial motion sensitivity is achieved than the SL-1200MK6. This ensures precise track tracking, ensuring flawless tracking performance and minimal needle jump, even under challenging playing conditions such as scratches.

The needle is illuminated by a high-brightness, long-lasting white LED

The lighting of the needle is distinguished by a new sliding design adapted to intuitive control, using a high-brightness long-lasting white LED diode. The illumination area and intensity have been revised to ensure better visibility of the needle tip even in dark environments.

Terminals for power/audio cables

Terminals for power and audio cables allow you to disconnect the cables. The audio terminals are gold plated to maintain sound quality. Since the terminals allow the wires to be disconnected, their maintenance becomes easier.

Extremely strong housing and effective damping insulation

The housing, which is an essential part of reducing external vibration, features sound quality improvement technology perfected in the creation of high-end turntables. The cast aluminum body is rigidly integrated with a special material consisting of ABS mixed with fiberglass to produce a two-layer construction. The combination of this special high-strength material and the metal body provides a higher level of rigidity and vibration damping, creating a solid body that reproduces beautiful sound. Isolation consists of spring and rubber to ensure optimal frequency characteristics. This not only ensures high sound quality and perfect noise immunity, but also effectively suppresses external vibrations when the sound level is very high.
