With 8 HDMI inputs, including 1 conveniently accessible on the front panel, the AVR-X2300W also features an advanced video section with the latest HDMI specifications, such as 4K Ultra HD 60Hz maximum frame rate support, 4:4:4 Pure Color subsampling, 21:9 pass-through video and 3D content support, and BT.2020 pass-through support on every input.

The AVR-X2300W features HDCP 2.2 compatibility, which is required for copy-protected 4K Ultra HD content. The video processor can upconvert SD and HD video to 4K UHD.

Certified by the Imaging Science Foundation, the AVR-X2300W features a full suite of video calibration controls (for ISF technicians) along with ISF Day and ISF Night video modes.

Built-in Bluetooth and Wi-Fi
Capable of connecting and streaming music via Bluetooth and Wi-Fi, the AVR-X2300W is equipped with two transmission antennas to ensure perfect information transfer even in very noisy environments. The ability to connect to the internet via Wi-Fi or cable (via the RJ-45 LAN output) allows the user to enjoy music from streaming services such as Spotify Connect. You can also choose from a multitude of internet radio stations and enjoy the entertainment of streamed conversations and music of all genres.

The AVR-X2300W decodes up to 24-bit/192-kHz lossless files (AIFF, FLAC and WAV; ALAC/Apple Lossless up to 24-bit/96kHz), as well as DSD 2.8MHz (audiophile format SACD), and now 5.6MHz audio tracks. DTS:X
The AVR-2300W features the latest surround sound DTS:X decoding, which allows precise placement of sound at any point in the 3D field, and ceiling-mounted speakers can create amazing surround sound. Included are Dolby Surround and Neural:X upmixing. Users with a pre-configured speaker set for this system will experience an amazing 3D sound experience from traditional Dolby- or DTS-encoded content, as well as listening to stereo with all speakers.

The new smart app is available for iOS, Android and Kindle Fire, and can be downloaded from the Apple app store, Google Play or Amazon app store. You can control the receiver's operation, as well as its setup menu, from your smartphone or tablet. The app provides quick access to the receiver's status and settings menu on your phone screen, Denon Blu-ray player control, and an online owner's manual for your convenience, while the new playlist control allows you to browse and add new tracks to a fly playlist.

Smart TV connection
Using the HDMI CEC (Consumer Electronics Control) functionality, which is built into smart TVs, you can control the Denon receiver with your TV remote. Set the AV receiver's "HDMI control" to ON and select "Smart Menu" receiver functions on the TV. The "Smart Menu home" will show AV receiver functions, including sources, audio positions, and basic settings with a single button press.

Audyssey MultEQ XT automatic room acoustic measurement and correction system adapts your speakers to your room's acoustics for the smoothest, most natural tonal balance. MultEQ XT provides more accurate signal processing for main and surround speakers with 8 times greater resolution than the basic MultEQ system, with up to 8 measurement points to ensure the best sound for the whole family.

Audyssey Dynamic EQ uses advanced psychoacoustic algorithms to continuously adjust tonal balance so you hear full-range sound, even at lower volume levels, while Audyssey Dynamic Volume smooths out annoying volume fluctuations, especially during loud commercials.

Dual subwoofer output
With a single subwoofer, it is not always possible to get an optimal bass response in a room. Depending on the location, the bass response at the main listening position can be uneven, increasing and decreasing with volume. Two subwoofers, placed in different locations, provide more accurate bass at any listening position. Audyssey Sub EQ HT control will allow each subwoofer to be tuned individually.
