INFORMACIJA
We recommend using: Noise Protection PROFI Vibrofiltr 2mm Sound Insulation
This is a vibration-damping bituminous material. The material is made of elastomer-modified bitumen with non-woven fabric on the outer side and an adhesive layer protected by non-stick paper on the mounting side.
- Thickness: 2.0 mm
- Mechanical loss factor: 0.12
- Weight: 2.7 kg/m2
- Adhesion to metal: 6 N/cm
- Sheet size: 800x500mm
DESCRIPTION
The material's mechanical loss factor is 0.12. What does this mean?
When driving or simply when the engine is running, a car's body resonates – it emits vibrations. Ideally, the body surface materials should absorb these vibrations and convert them into thermal energy. The mechanical loss factor (MLF) indicates how much vibrational energy is converted into thermal energy. This affects driving comfort. If the MLF is 1, it's the maximum result, meaning all vibrational energy is converted into thermal energy. If the MLF is <1, the sound and vibration absorption properties of the material are poorer. When choosing insulation material, you should pay attention to this number. A higher number is better.
Why should you try sound insulation materials?
They provide additional comfort during your journey. While driving, you experience less vibration, no creaks caused by parts rubbing against each other, and no disturbing external noise from the street or engine compartment. It becomes easier to converse in the car, you get less tired, and nothing distracts your attention while driving. Since these materials also act as thermal insulators, it's easier to start the engine in winter, and the interior cools down less. Insulating materials can be applied to almost the entire car body, ensuring the greatest effect.
Usage: car floor and trunk floor, doors.
