This versatile Yamaha NS-333 2-way bookshelf speaker can function as either front or surround speakers in your home theater. Its 5″ PMD cone woofer and 1″ aluminum dome tweeter create a soundstage that achieves impressive efficiency and dynamic range in any size room. Whether the listening occasion calls for a symphony orchestra or battle drama, the NS-333 can reproduce both with equal conviction in any 2-channel or multichannel audio system.
Two-Way Bass-Reflex Bookshelf Speaker System
The Yamaha NS-333 speaker system was designed specifically for home theater applications. The bookshelf speaker is a bass-reflex design that can be used for main or surround channels and incorporates a 5″ polymer-injected mica diaphragm (PMD) cone woofer and a 1″ aluminum dome tweeter. To improve imaging, the tweeter utilizes Yamaha’s exclusive Waveguide horn.
Waveguide Horn
Unlike most homes, movie theaters use sound-absorbing materials on walls and ceilings. The result is that the sound reaching your ears is the sound wave produced by the speakers and not reflected off the walls. Yamaha has created Waveguides that greatly reduce reflected sound and increase the proportion of directly generated sound waves reaching your ears. The result is a clear and precise sense of sound direction and placement.
Internally Wired with Monster Cable
Yamaha has chosen to ensure optimum audio quality by internally wiring some of the component parts with Monster Cable. This assures a clean, clear signal from the crossover network to the speaker driver.
Magnetic Shielding
The speakers are magnetically shielded, so they can be placed on a TV or video monitor without degrading the picture through stray magnetic fields.
Performance Enhanced by a Beautiful Cabinet
The speakers are enclosed in an elliptical cabinet with a high-gloss piano black finish, which provides a solid construction with minimal sound diffraction.
