APRAŠYMAS

Inspired by the way listeners use Wharfedale Heritage loudspeakers and initiated by customer demand, the Heritage Centre is a dedicated centre channel for the Wharfedale Heritage series.

Styled in matching real-wood veneers and carefully proportioned to sit naturally alongside the family of LINTON and DENTON models, the Heritage Centre is designed to integrate both visually and sonically. It delivers the same full-bodied warmth, expressive midrange, and natural, unforced presentation that have made these loudspeakers enduring favourites.

Whether anchoring dialogue in a film soundtrack or maintaining coherence across a multi-speaker music system, the Heritage Centre ensures that the voice of the system remains consistent, balanced, and true.

Modern classics
From the Denton 80th Anniversary through LINTON, Denton 85th, SUPER LINTON and SUPER DENTON, and more recently the UK-built DOVEDALE and ASTON models, the range represents the essence of Wharfedale’s approach and stands as a symbol of what British hi-fi does best: timeless styling, natural musicality, and honest engineering.

For many listeners, these loudspeakers are more than products — they are enduring reference points, combining a familiar aesthetic with a sound that feels both natural and engaging.

As systems evolve beyond traditional two-channel listening, the need for a centre speaker that truly belongs within the Heritage family has become increasingly clear. The Heritage Centre addresses this directly — offering a solution that is both acoustically and visually aligned with the rest of the series.

Designed for Seamless Integration
The Heritage Centre has been developed with the same care and attention as every Wharfedale Heritage loudspeaker in a centre channel that does not draw attention to itself, but instead allows dialogue and musical detail to emerge with clarity and natural presence.

Heritage-Correct Design and Finish
The Heritage Centre is unmistakably part of the Wharfedale family.

Available in the same real-wood veneer finishes — Black Oak, Mahogany, and Walnut — with a matching black baffle, classic cloth grille, and the signature Wharfedale badge, every element has been carefully considered to ensure visual continuity within a Heritage system, allowing the centre speaker to sit naturally alongside its companions.

Purpose-Built Driver System
At its core, the Heritage Centre employs a carefully balanced driver configuration:

Twin 6.5” woven Kevlar bass drivers
2” soft-dome midrange
1” soft-dome tweeter

This arrangement reflects the design philosophy of the Heritage series, delivering consistent tonal character and wide, even dispersion.

Dialogue is reproduced with clarity and weight, while maintaining the natural tonal balance required for music. The transition between channels is seamless, preserving the integrity of the soundstage across the entire system.

Natural Voice, Precise Delivery
As with all Wharfedale Heritage loudspeakers, the emphasis is on natural sound.

Through carefully developed crossover design, driver integration, and cabinet tuning, the Heritage Centre delivers clear and expressive vocal reproduction without exaggeration or fatigue.

Speech remains intelligible and focused, even at higher listening levels, while retaining the warmth and ease that characterise the Heritage sound.

Cabinet Engineering
The enclosure is constructed to the same standards as the LINTON and DENTON loudspeakers.

Internally braced to reduce resonance and fitted with a rear-firing bass reflex port, it provides controlled low-frequency support that adds scale and presence without overhang.

The result is a presentation that feels balanced and assured, with sufficient weight to anchor the front soundstage in both film and music applications.

Ready for Modern Systems
As listening habits evolve, many systems now extend beyond two-channel configurations.

Whether in a 3.1 or 5.1 system, or as part of a broader multi-channel setup, the Heritage Centre fulfils a vital role — providing a stable and natural anchor for dialogue and central imaging.

Unlike conventional centre speakers, it offers a true match — both acoustically and aesthetically — for Wharfedale Heritage loudspeakers.

The result is a system that remains coherent, balanced, and visually harmonious, without compromising the qualities that define the Heritage range.
