The lightweight, durable aluminum body and innovative quick-change stylus system ensure comfortable use and excellent sound reproduction that exceeds expectations in this class.
Type:MM (Moving Magnet)
Frequency range:20Hz-20kHz

It stands out by providing high-class MC sound quality, yet is compatible with MM phono inputs, meaning no additional equipment is required. The open design and precise handcraftsmanship in Japan ensure a natural, detailed, and unfatiguing sound with a wide soundstage.

Stylus type: Elliptical (0.3 x 0.7 mil)
Internal impedance: 135 Ω

Every Sumiko phono cartridge is handcrafted in Japan by the masters at Excel Sound in Yokohama. Decades of experience, carefully selected materials, and precise assembly allow for a refined, tonally balanced, and fatigue-free analog sound.

Stylus type: elliptical (0.3 x 0.7 mil)
Internal impedance:28 Ω (1 kHz)

High-end MC cartridge with a Nude Shibata stylus ensures maximum detail, dynamics, and natural sound. It is a significant step up from the Songbird, approaching the top-tier Sumiko class.

Stylus type:Nude Shibata (6.5 × 40 µm)
Output voltage: 0.3 mV

Uses a boron cantilever and a Fine Line diamond stylus, which allow for extremely precise reproduction of vinyl record details. A powerful neodymium magnet and an advanced generator design ensure a wider soundstage and highly accurate channel balance.

Nominal output voltage: 5 – 6 mV
Stylus type: Fine Line diamond stylus

A rubber suspension specifically designed for this model is used. It effectively dampens unwanted vibrations and allows the stylus to track the groove precisely. This reduces distortion, improves sound, and produces a more natural tone.

Output voltage:0.4 mV;
Recommended tracking force: 2.0 g.

It is one of the most technologically advanced turntable cartridges Ortofon has ever created. It combines a new Vertex Diamond stylus, a solid diamond cantilever, and a titanium housing, delivering music with extraordinary precision, detail, and naturalness.

Output voltage: 0.3 mV;
Recommended tracking force:2.5 g.

Features a Nude MicroLinear stylus, which tracks the vinyl groove with extreme precision, helps reproduce more fine detail, and wears more evenly than styli with simpler profiles.

Compatible cartridge: AT-VM740xML
Additional compatibility: VM540ML, VM740ML
