Semi-Balanced Directional RCA Cable
The Level 2 RCA Cable uses a semi-balanced, directional design to manage interference effectively. In this design, the signal conductors carry the audio path while the shield is connected at one end only, acting as a drain wire. By controlling the flow of induced noise and grounding it at the source side, the cable prevents unwanted current loops and stops interference from feeding back into the audio chain. This directional grounding method is particularly effective in car audio, where alternator whine and other electrical noise is common.
Twisted-Pair Design
The twisted-pair conductors surrounded by a quad-shield system further strengthen the noise protection. Each channel’s positive and negative conductors are wound together, ensuring that any noise induced along the cable is picked up equally by both wires. When the amplifier processes the differential input, these noise signals cancel out, leaving only the clean audio signal.
