The KEF Q8 Meta speakers are the perfect way to kick your Q Series home theater system up a notch or two. These "toppers" sit neatly on your KEF Q Series bookshelf or floor-standing front-channel speakers and fire upwards. Their sound is reflected off of your ceiling to provide immersive overhead sound effects. Or wall-mount them for use with your home theater's traditional surround channels.

Updated UniQ driver array for extra clarity and definition
These speakers use the 12th generation of KEF's famous Uni-Q driver array. That driver layout puts the tweeter right in the middle of the woofer cone, which causes high-frequency and midrange sounds to originate from a single, consolidated point. That widens the ever-important "sweet spot" while, at the same time, more evenly dispersing sound throughout your room.

Improved tweeter performance with MAT

The tweeter has a redesigned cone-shaped waveguide and a new tweeter gap material damper that tames high-frequency imperfections for impeccable clarity. It also uses a new technology that KEF calls "MAT," or Metamaterial Absorption Technology. It's a small plate that's nested behind the tweeter and has a labyrinth-like structure that absorbs up to 99% of unwanted sound behind the driver, killing off any harsh resonances and distortions.
