How to properly select home cinema system components?

Selecting the right home cinema system begins with a detailed analysis of your premises. We evaluate room dimensions, ceiling height, wall materials, the amount of curtains, lighting, and even furniture layout – as these factors determine which components we will select for the space in question.

The most important criteria for selecting a home cinema system:

• Screen, projector, or TV – these are selected based on viewing distance, lighting conditions, and room layout.
• AV receiver – must support all audio formats (Dolby Atmos, DTS:X) and be compatible with the speakers. All audio amplifiers are in our Autogarsas collection.
• Speaker system – 5.1 or 7.1 systems. This depends on the acoustic parameters of the room. Speakers in this collection will suit all spaces.
• Subwoofer – subwoofers, the placement and power of which are calculated based on the room volume.

In such cases, we use acoustic absorbers or special acoustic materials for walls and ceilings. Such elements are invisible but determine the sound quality.

Speaker placement

Every speaker has its precise installation location and angle. For example, the center speaker must be aligned with the center of the screen, and surround sound speakers must be installed at precisely measured angles. Even a deviation of a few centimeters can degrade sound quality.

Projector and screen

If you decide to purchase a projector, it is installed strictly following throw ratio parameters. After installation, geometric image calibration (lens shift, keystone correction) and color calibration according to ITU-R BT.709 or DCI-P3 standards must be performed. These tasks can only be completed by professionals with calibration tools and specialized knowledge. Projectors and screens at the Autogarsas showroom are selected according to client preferences.

Cables are among the most important components in home cinema installation work. Improper cable selection or an incorrectly designed wiring diagram can turn even the most expensive equipment into something of poor quality. HDMI 2.1 certified cables are required to support 48 Gbps bandwidth. During renovations, cables are hidden in walls and ceilings, or installed by technicians in a way that they remain completely invisible. This achieves a tidy and aesthetic home appearance, while the system operates quietly and without any background noise.
